to begin with no end

A new duet co-created and performed by Tushrik Fredericks and Rebecca Margolick

Premiere Triskelion Arts Brooklyn, NY November 21-23 2024

Using spirituality as a vessel for connection and a common denominator between two distinct yet interconnected religions. Empathy, trust, and intimacy are shared within the multitudes of relationships we embody with each other. Grounded in the performers’ religious backgrounds—Muslim and Jewish—they navigate the complexities of their identities to give access to be with each other and see from the other side.

“And now our bodies knew bodies,

They danced in unison, they got tired

They found rest without darkness Our

bodies, the performers of labor and care

could feel and breathe together Our bodies

now weren’t afraid of a sunset.”
